This policy sets out how Fiji Kids! Learning for Life Fundraising Committee (we) will handle (collect, use, store and disclose) personal information (in accordance with the National Privacy Principles under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy law) in the light of who we are and who we aspire to be as an organisation.

We collect personal information about supporters, volunteers, contractors, visitors to our operations overseas and others. We collect this information when itis necessary for our business purposes.
Most often, we collect personal information about our supporters. Typically, we would ask for your: name, address, telephone number(s), email address(es), payment card information and date of birth.
If you plan to visit the students in our program or participate in events involving them, we may ask you to provide the relevant Working with Children or police clearances in accordance with our Child Protection & Working with Children Policy.
On occasion, we might also collect images of you or stories about you, for example, if you have visited students in our program or attended one of our events.

If you choose not to provide us with certain personal information, we may not be able to meet your expectations. For example, we can’t issue a tax receipt or send you information about your sponsored student if we don’t have your name and address.

Where we tell you about opportunities with partner organisations, we do not disclose your personal information to them. If you respond to that organisation directly and give them your details, they may contact you.
